The SCA-NAPC seeks Applications for the
CALIFORNIA NATIVE SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
FOR THE 2020 SCA ANNUAL MEETING
Thursday, March 12—Sunday, March 15, 2020 | Riverside Convention Center
Application Deadline: Wednesday, January 15, 2020
The SCA – NAPC is pleased to announce Sponsorships offered to California Natives interested in attending the
SCA Annual Meeting. The intent of the SCA – NAPC Sponsorships is to encourage and support California Native
cultural resource preservationists in developing relationships, awareness and greater understanding between the
California Native Community and the CRM profession, as represented by SCA. The Annual SCA Conference is
the most effective place for this interaction to occur, as the Conference is where most of the California CRM
professionals come together.

KKLLC presentations @ SFSU

in Yelamu – Ramaytush Ohlone Territory aka SF – Kanyon Sayers-Roods visits Melissa Nelson’s class May 9th to discuss the recent work she has been committed to. American Indian Studies Department of San Francisco State University.

Kanyon offers classroom presentations, culture sharing discussions, and advocacy insights when she visits students of all ages. Dominantly 3rd grade to University Level students – as well as educating the educators.

EmergingSF Honors Native Land

EmeringSF #HonorNativeLand in Yelamu – Ramaytush Ohlone Territory aka San Francisco – The purpose of these statements is to show respect for indigenous peoples and recognize their enduring relationship to the land. Practicing acknowledgment can also raise awareness about histories that are often suppressed or forgotten.

Through Kanyon Konsulting we want to inspire ongoing action and relationship. Acknowledgment by itself is a small gesture. It becomes meaningful when coupled with authentic relationship and informed action.

ACORN.WIKI Spring Fundraiser

Come enjoy a lovely late spring Sunday with us in Ohlone lands in the village of Huchiun (downtown Berkeley) in our fundraiser to support Native Californian Language Revitalization. From 3 pm on until the sun sets, we’ll have a fantastic day together filled with music, locally-made goods, delicious food, drinks and more, with all funds going to support Native Californian Language Revitalization and the local artists who contribute to this event.
